Oxalic Acid / Binder

Post by DrChemist »

Hello there,

I was wondering if anybody could help me in figuring out a binder for oxalic acid to be able to run the mix through a pill press.
The binder should be non toxic when heated to approx. 250C to vaporize the acid. Or maybe I wouldn't need a binder under high pressure?

For what you need a Binder, if the oxalic acid is decomposed.
Probably calciumsulfate works.

The binder would only be needed if oxalic acid alone can't be run through a pill press to make a pill of 1 gram, that would be the only reason.
