Ammonia NH3(g) burns with oxygen

Post by rpidvulca »

Hi, I have some questions.
Supposedly, ammonia NH3(g) burns with oxygen at room temperature I'm curious as to how the molecular orbitals of the reactants are changed to produce the products, and what the precise mechanism is that drives this reaction.
And how does the flow of electrons work?
Hope to receive an answer from someone knowledgeable.
Many thanks!

There will be not much changed. What products you expect if ammonia is burnt.

the reaction between ammonia and oxygen involves the breaking of existing bonds and the formation of new ones, with significant changes in molecular orbitals. The flow of electrons is crucial in driving the reaction, allowing for the transformation from reactants to products. The overall process is influenced by the stability of the reactants and products, as well as the energy required to initiate the reaction.
