Na2So3 + HCl + HNO3 + BaCl2 = ?

If it helps, Na2SO3 + HCl resutled in no appearant reaction, but the lab said this made the solution acidic. Then we added HNO3 and again, no appearant reaction. Only after adding BaCl2 did a change ahppen. After a few moments, the solution became a cloudy white color

Actually Na2SO3 and HCl do react. THe result is NaCl, SO2 and H2O
In the presence of HNO3 SO2 turns into H2SO4
BaCl2 reacts with H2SO4 producing very insoluble BaSO4. THis is assuming HNO3 is diluted. Conc HNO3 may oxidize BaCl2 into Cl2
