making stock solution

Hi,

Pls,
Let me know the stock solution preparation from the solid chemical.
e.g. molecular weight 278 to make 1 mM solution

You need to know how much solution you need to make.
For example you need to make 1L, then the ammout of the substance is 1L*0.001mol/L=0.001mol.
Mass of the substance you need to use 0.001mol * 278 g/mol = 0.278 g
