Post by viking student »

How do you calculate the frequency of light that has a wavelength of 4.7X10^-7 and what is the color? :shock:

wavelength = 4.7X10^-7 m

frequency = c / wavelength = 3x10^8 / 4.7X10^-7
color = blue

Code: Select all

Color             Wavelength (nm)
Red                  780 - 622
Orange               622 - 597
Yellow               597 - 577
Green                577 - 492
Blue                 492 - 455
Violet               455 - 390
