I'm stuck ...
I am writing a lab report, and writing this out would kinda just be kool, but not required. The reaction forms a brown, rust colored precipitate, but I can't write the reaction for the life of me. (nor find it online)
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2COONa (also known as Sodium Stearate, or soap) + FeCl2
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2COONa (dissolved in 5 mL of distiled H2O) + FeCl2 -->
I am also having trouble with these reactions ...
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2COONa (dissolved in 5 mL of distiled H2O) + CaCl2 -->
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2COONa (dissolved in 5 mL of distiled H2O) + MgCl2 -->
CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2COONa (dissolved in 5 mL of distiled H2O) + tap water -->
Please help ...
