Balance Equation HELP

Post by alohagirl91 »

Can it be done? I am absolutely stumped with this one. :(

MoO3 +Zn +H2SO4 = Mo2O3 + ZnSO4 +H2

You see, I believe the problem here is with the oxygens. I've tried countless times, but I can't find any coefficients that would make that equation possible. Please help!!

Please help this chem geek out!

That should be water instead of hydrogen!

Code: Select all

2 MoO3 + 3 Zn + 3 H2SO4 = Mo2O3 + 3 ZnSO4 + 3 H2O
