Chemistry Lab Help

the lab involved putting magnesium ribbon in crucible and heating it until it was grey-sand-like. It obviously reacted with oxygen.

Now i need help witht this questions pleaseeeeee help

2) If mg had reacted with so other component in the air, would your calculation of percent composition be higher or lower. explain

The key idea is that burning of Mg in the air produces a mixture of MgO and Mg3N2 (N2 is that another component of the air).
