salts (acidic or basic)

How can I tell if a salt is acidic or basic. ex: if I am given NaF how can I tell that it is basic?

If a salt is formed by a strong acid and a weak base it's acidic.
If a salt is formed by a weak acid and a strong base it's basic.
For instance NaF is basic.
