Balancing Equations

Post by mishuem »

I've wrote my entire lab and already balanced twenty other chemical equations. I just cannot get these few equations to balance. Can anyone help me figure them out? I would greatly appreciate it.

1) AgNO3 + K3FeCN6 = Ag3FeCN + KNO3

2) FeCl3 + K3FeCN6 = Fe3CN + KCl

3) CuSO4 + K3FeCN6 = Cu3FeCN2 + K2SO4

4) NaOH + K3FeCN6 = Na3FeCN6

5) Pb(NO3)2 + MgSO4 = Pb(SO4)2 + Mg(NO3)2

6) Pb(NO3)2 + NaI = PbI2 + Na(NO3)2

7) Pb(NO3)2 + K3FeCN6 = Pb3FeCN2 + KNO3

**K3FeCN6 = potassium ferricyanide**

I'm still working on these. But, the potassium ferricyanide chemical equations are giving me the most trouble. Help would be grateful. Thank you all who take the time to read this and to help me out. =]

That is because you need to spell it as K3Fe(CN)6 - a big difference!
Also instead of Ag3FeCN it must be Ag3Fe(CN)6
and Fe2(CN)6 instead of Fe3CN.
Cu3[Fe(CN)6]2 instead of Cu3FeCN2.
Pb3[Fe(CN)6]2 instead of Pb3FeCN2.
Hope this helps.
