I am trying to help my daughter with homework. Sodium bicarbonate is to be burned with Oxygen, what are the products of combustion? It's been a while since I took chemistry. Thanks for any assistance.

The question behind the question

The root question is to find two means of finding a way of determining the percentage mix of a dry powdered mixture of sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride. She was looking at combustion as a means, others must be possible.

NaHCO3 does react with O2.
To find percent in the mixture you may react NaHCO3 with an acid, for example:
NaHCO3 + HCl = NaCl + CO2 + H2O
and from the volume of CO2 gas you may find what was the mass and then perceantage of NaHCO3 in the mixture.
