Hi can somebody help me with this problem please?
If i have 60% Fe what is its FeO and Fe2O3 equivalent in % form?
Thank you.
FeO and Fe2O3 equivalent

Calculate % of Fe separately in pure FeO (= A%) and Fe2O3 (= B%)
After that combine fractions of each (x and y) to make 60%
xA + yB = 60
x:y ratio now is proportional to the weight ratio of Fe in FeO and Fe2O3.
To recalculate to molar ratio you have to divide y by 2 since one molecule of Fe2O3 contains two Fe
the molar ratio FeO ; Fe2O3 is x : y/2
