Freezing point Analysis Questions

Post by roksteady »

I have 2 questions i need help on:

1. Calculate the freezing point of a solution of 25mL of CH3OH (d=0.792g/mL) in 325mL of water (d=1.00g/mL, Kf=1.86°C/m)

2. A 5.0g sample of lauryl alcohol is dissolved in 100g of benzene(Kf=5.20°C/m). The normal freezing point of benzene is 5.50°C while the solution froze at -1.78°C. What is the molecular weight of lauryl alcohol?

Thanks for any help
