hello I need help please.
I want to conduct Platinum precipitation experiment and I want to use H2O2 instead of ammonium chloride.
PtCl62- + 2 H2O2 = Pt + 4 H+ + 6 Cl- + 2 O2
H2PtCl6 + 2 H2O2 = 6 HCl + 2 O2 + Pt
These are the current reactions I am dealing with. In the case where H2O2 is acting as a reducting agent instead of oxidation agent.
Does anyone has experience in using hydrogen peroxide in cases like this. I am patiently waiting for your responses. Thank you!

We used H2O2 as Reducing agent for Permanganate or Manganese Dioxide in acidic conditions ( H2SO4) to get Mn 2+.
I have no idea if this also works for platinum. Check the redox potential values.
Also HCl can disturb and react to Chlorine.
Platinum is also catalyst and accelerate the decomposition of Peroxide.
I would use formaldehyde, ascorbic acid, dithionite or bisulfite.
