Hi, i am dosing 12.5 mg/l of chlorine (MW=70.91 g/mol) to the water . What is equivalent mass of sodium hypochlorite to be dosed (instead of chlorine to get 12.5 mg/l of chlorine). Hypochlorite delivered concentartion 13% ,SG 1.18, MW 74.44 g/mol.

1 mol Cl2 is equal to 2 mol NaClO
12.5 mg/l Cl2 is equal to 0.176 mmol/l what correspond to 0.353 mmol/l NaClO. The mass of 100% is 26.44 mg/l
The solution is 13% w.w means 201,88 mg/l has to be dosed.
In volume 171,08 μl/l has to be dosed.
