Hello,

I don't know how to tell from the H NMR spectrum whether benzene is ortho, meta or para disubstituted. In particular, I don't know how to distinguish between ortho and meta? In the exam we have realistic spectra and it is really not clear to me how to distinguish between these possibilities

In your example you see a doublet at 7.5 to 7.8, so it's ortho.
