help with reaction x.x

Post by eva »

Hello,

We have recently tried doing a qualitative analysis for a project and the paper we are supposed to write calls for a reaction formula, so..

Can you help me with the following:

HI + CH3COOK + Na3[CO(NO2)6] ---> ?

Thank you
I will happily tell you more if anyone is interested :)

sodium cobalt nitrite is a reagent to determine potassium

You will get the pottasium salt as precipitate.

Maybe you give more information why HI is used.

I would like to know why you're using HI as well. Especially in the combination with Na3[CO(NO2)6]. What was the goal of your analysis?
