I have done an experiment with 2 substances monoethanolamine (MEA) and phosphorus acid (H3 PO3 ) but I do not know exact products of this reaction. Could anyone give an idea about this problem?

Itis a normal neutralisation.
2
Code: Select all
HOCH2CH2NH2 + H3PO3 => [HOCH2CH2NH3]2HPO3

Actually, MEA is taken into a mixture of CuSO4 and H3 PO3 . I saw a white cloud after reaction. I wonder if it is CO2 or NOx smoke...

The white cloud is the ammoniumsalt nebula.

You mean [HOCH2 CH2 NH3 ]2 HPO3 is in nebular form?

Correct. The same if you use ammonia gas and HCl gas.

So there is no amoniumsalt in the solution?

Its in the solution as well. The cloud appers because it gets hot during neutralisation.

This is basic chemistry. Amines react with acids. There is nothing to approve. Look in a chemist book.

I've been looking for the name of the product you did type but there was no result. Are there any other reactions?

There is only reaction between MEA and phosphoric acid (H3 PO4 ) either.

Do we talk about phosphoric acid
or phosphorous acid
.
The product is Bis(Hydroxyethyl)-ammoniumphosphite
