Post by jabbar12 »

Al + KOH + H2O = K[Al(OH)4] + H2

i want to regeneration the K[Al(OH)4] back to KOH, so i don't have to buy KOH every single time.

I think this will be more expensive, as to buy new KOH.

Probably you can add K3PO4 and get precipitation of AlPO4 and KOH will be formed back.

K[Al(OH)4] + K3PO4 => AlPO4 + 4 KOH

After filtering the AlPO4 you have new KOH.
