I do not know how to balance this equation but we have measured CO, CO2, O2, H2O, and Soot (carbon) after combustion with methane.
CH4+O2=CO2+C+CO+H2O+O2
Incomplete Combustion of methane

CH4 + 2 O2 => CO2 + 2 H2O complete
CH4 + O2 => C + 2 H2O incomplete
2 CH4 + 3 O2 => 2 CO + 4 H2O incomplete
3 CH4 + 5 O2 => 2 CO + CO2 + 6 H2O incomplete
4 CH4 + 6 O2 => 2 CO + CO2 + C + 8 H2O incomplete
Depending on environment all reactions can take place.
The last equation will be achieved by combining the 3 first ones.
