Cu + Fe(NO3)3 = ???
electronic balance method. Help me! The reaction should go so that Fe changes its oxidation state from +3 to +2

Its simple.

Fe3+ + e- => Fe2+

Cu => Cu2+ +2 e-

KGV is 2

2 Fe3+ + 2 e- => 2 Fe2+

Addition and eliminierung of electrons

2 Fe3+ + Cu => 2 Fe2+ + Cu2+

The Nitrat is normaly spectactor ion.

Depending on pH it can also oxidies Cu and Fe2+

and will be reduced to NO.

NO3- + 4 H+ + 3 e- => NO + 2 H2O

What is not clear. An iron-III solution is acidic in pH. So in small amount you will have HNO3, and this also will attack copper.

Fe3+ + H2O => FeOH2+ + H+
