Is there any interaction between Fe3O4 and FeCl3

Hello!, Thanks in advance for your helpful comments

We used FeCl3 solution to etch Ni wire where Fe3O4 particls covered .

after etching process we still can see Fe3O4 particls

but I have wonder

is there any chemical interaction between

Fe3O4 and FeCl3

No really

in Fe3O4 the iron has oxidation number 2 and 3 in FeCl3 its also 3. So there will be no reaction between. FeCl3 contains sometime some amount of HCl. The HCl is able to react with Fe3O4.
