Code: Select all

NiS + 2 NaCl = ...
does not proceed in aqueous solution because the

Code: Select all

NiS
is insoluble.

Code: Select all

 NiCl2(aq) + Na2S(aq) = NiS(s) + 2 NaCl(aq)
