Solubility of Mg(OH)2 + H20

Trying to get more OH- solute from Mg(OH)2 solution. Will high Ca+ concentration in the water limit the solubility of the Mg(OH)2, similar to the common ion effect when Ca(OH)2 is mixed with water of high calcium hardness? I have RO water available, wondering if it worth the using it for this purpose.
