Spectrophotometer for blood sampling

Post by skronsta »

Hello all,

I am a biologist looking to begin a project with my organization involving collecting blood samples from stone crabs and analyzing the serum for lactate and glucose concentrations. I was wondering if you could provide me with some advice on a spectrophotometer to purchase that will help me complete this task? I will be collecting about 100 microliters of blood once a week from 60 different crabs so it will have to be an automated spec that can analyze very small volumes. I will be using a lactate oxidase assay and a liquid glucose hexokinase assay.
