Given:
MgBr + HSO4 -> HBr +MgSO4
I react Zn metal with the mix to get a new product. Will a gas be given off, what is it ? What is the new balance equation??
I dont know what happens to the Zn on the products side.
Please help?? I do not know where to add the Zn.
given 150g MgBr and 150gHSO4
500mL dH2O
I have found:
1.44molMgBr
1.55molHSO4
2.8Molar (MgBr) 3.1Molar (HSO4)
we need 139.9gHSO4 to react with 160.82gMgBr.
139.0gHSO4 is the limiting reactant
The amount of product is:
116.83gHBr
185.57gMgSO4
Need Help!!!

Code: Select all
Zn + H{+} = Zn{2+} + H2 Code: Select all
H{+}Code: Select all
