i want to make mercury solid as mercury is in liquid form .
i have tired using chemical like chlorine , sodium tellurite , sodium tellurate , selenium dioxide for making mercury solid .i have done this my mixing mercury in a test tube and adding the above chemical to it and heating at -25 degree but mercury does not get mix in these chemical and it evapourite . can u suggest which chemical to be use with proper procedure please .

If you want to convert liquid to solid form you have to cool it at -40 temperature.

sir if i do that is not the long lasting solution for it ... cos if heated again
it will melt then wat is the use of freezing at -40 degree
