How to balance? Thanks.

Post by Bill »

How can this equation be balanced in the redox method?

H2O2 + KMnO4 = O2 + MnO2 + KOH + H2O

Thanks so much for your help.

3H2O2 + 2KMnO4 = 3O2 + 2MnO2 + 2KOH + 2H2O
I think, ive double checked it but may be wrong. Its pretty straight forweard but going from 2 reactants to 4 products makes keeping track of all the numbers hard.
In Physical Chemistry experiments must be reproducible, they should fail the same way each time
