Shocking news: Google forces Chmoogle to change it's name

US trademark law and several key court decisions plainly state that our desired trademark, Chmoogle, almost certainly does not infringe on the Google® trademark. Sadly, we must report today that Google has forced us to change the Chmoogle web-site name. Might makes right, big money wins, and Google's famous Do No Evil code of conduct seems to evaporate when lawyers are involved.

Although we are convinced we will prevail before the USPTO and/or the Courts against Google's claim of infringement, they have billions, and we are just a bunch of scientists trying to advance science one step further by providing a search that Google can't do.

I am not defending google, but I should admit that first impression from chmoogle.com was that it is really trying hard to look like google. Not only the name comes from chemistry + google, but dress code of both sites were very similar.
