Post by hottigotti879 »

ok so the question is:

Write the balanced chemical equation of the reaction of Na2CO3(aq) and HCl(aq).

i think i might have gotten the equation wrong but i put
Na2CO3 + HCl = HCO3 + NaCl

hey the balanced equation should look like if Na2CO3 is solid

Code: Select all

2HCl + Na2CO3 (s) = 2NaCl + H2O + CO2
but in ur case it is aquous which affect the overall reaction and it should rather look like:

Code: Select all

Na2CO3 (aq) + HCl (aq) = NaHCO3 (aq) + NaCl (aq)
Make sense?"? Hopefully it helps,,
