Neutralization

Post by Samuel199179 »

K2CO3(aq) + 2HCl(aq) -> 2KCl(aq) + CO2(g) + H2O(l)
CaCO3(s) + HCl(aq) -> CaCl2(aq) + H2O(l) + CO2(g)

Are those reactions consider as neutralization?
Some of my friends told me that the second reaction is neutralization
but I am very confuse with that as CaCO3 is insoluble in water
neutralization cannot occur?
Please help me with this question
