Neutralization

K₂CO₃(aq) + 2HCl(aq) -> 2KCl(aq) + CO₂(g) + H₂O(l)
CaCO₃(s) + HCl(aq) -> CaCl₂(aq) + H₂O(l) + CO₂(g)

Are those reactions consider as neutralization?
Some of my friends told me that the second reaction is neutralization
but I am very confuse with that as CaCO₃ is insoluble in water
neutralization cannot occur?
Please help me with this question
