alcohol isomers?
Can someone help me figure out the alcohol isomers of C6H14O?
There are three isomers of C6H14O
1-Hexanol (OH at the first Carbon from either side of the 6 Carbon chain)
2-Hexanol (OH at the 2nd carbon from either side of the 6 Carbon chain)
3-Hexanol (OH at the 3rd carbon from either side of the 6 Carbon chain)
CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2OH
JUST CHANGE AROUND THE POSITION OF OH BETWEEN LAST 3 (OR FIRST 3 CARBONS) you get ur isomers
hope that helps
