Chemical Equation

Post by Black _roses »

Can anyone tell me how to do the chemical equation that goes with this problem?

How many moles of ammonia gas (NH3) will be produced if you start with 500 moles of nitrogen gas at STP.

I know how to do the problem but for some reason I cant figure out what the equation is.
Thankyou in advance.

I guess it should just be
3 H2 + N2 = 2 NH3
since nothiing is mentioned we could assume that nitrogen is derived from the air and also the only way to get NH3 as end product alone is the one we have mentioned.. so i gues follow that..
maybe it helps ..
