why do Aldehyde need strong acid(H2SO4) for being polymer?

Aldehyde become polymer in strong acid

i don't know the role of H2SO4(Strong acid)

my expression is so poor because my mother tongue

A strong acid is a catalyst of the polymerization for aldehydes.
