Desperately need help!

Post by sprout »

Hi, I have been working on this problem for the past 3 hours. I do not get it! If someone could help, please do!
here's the question.

So this is a repeat of the Millikan's oil drop experiment. But instead of coulombs, they use an imaginary unit called warmomb (wa).

Droplet_____________________Calculated Charge (wa)
__A_________________________3.84 X 10^-8
__B_________________________4.80 X 10^-8
__C_________________________2.88 X 10^-8
__D_________________________8.64 X 10^-8

All droplets are the same size. The questions are
(b)what is the best choice for the charge of electron in warmombs?
(c)from (b), how many electrons are there on each of the droplets?
(d)what is the conversion factor between warmombs and coulombs?

here's some other info

electron mass= 1.60 X 10^-19 C/1.76 X 10^8 C/g= 9.10 X 10-28
Millikan's experiment showed that charges were always integral multiples of 1.602 X 10^-19
