My question really is where does the disulfide bridge go
I was wondering if anyone could help with designing a surrogate molecule. I am to design a Styrene Butadiene polymer with disulfide bridges. I have calculated that there are 12 monomers required with only one disulfide bridge (two sulfur atoms). My question really is where does the disulfide bridge go

Normaly the Disulfid will connect two Polymer chain or the same chain for folding each other. Its also called crosslinking.

One approach is to randomly distribute the disulfide bridge within the polymer chain. This can provide some flexibility and prevent the polymer from becoming overly rigid. In your case, if you have 12 monomers,Block Blast you could place the disulfide bridge between any two of them.

A Styrene-Butadiene copolymer typically has repeating units of styrene and butadiene in a linear or random arrangement.
