What's the easiest and most efficient way to make this, anyone know?

I would start with Cysteine. Elimination of the Aminogroup in alcaline condition.

Formal live

HSCH2CHNH2COOH + NaOH => HS-CH=CH-COONa + NH3 + H2O

But it needs some steps between.

Or start with 3-Bromoacrylicacid and sodiumhydrogensufide

Br-CH=CH-COOH + 2 NaSH => HS-CH=CH-COONa + NaBr + H2S

This cystine route, can you go into some more detail please?
Is it possible to do this from acrylic acid?
