The question:
What type of reaction is this: Zn 2+ + CuSO4 > ZnSO4 + Cu 2+
My answer was a redox reaction. When my friends finished, he said it was a displacement reaction. Aren't displacement reactions just a type of redox reaction? So we are both right? Or mine is too general?
I wrote this in an exam. Would I of gotten the answer wrong?

A displacement is also a redox reaction. Check redox numbers of Cu and Zn
