How do they seperate table salt (NaCl) from seawater

Post by easypeasyac »

Sorry maybe it is stupid question but unfortunately I couldn't find the answer.

I know that sea water is evaporated under the sun and salt is obtained.

However, this resulting salt contains not only sodium chloride but also many other salts such as MgCl2, KCl, CaCl2... How do they separate sodium chloride from these salt mixture and obtain pure table salt?

Thank you.

They use different solubilities, Fraction cristallisation.
