Lead (II) nitrate to lead white pigment
hi I am making pigments for my art class and I wanted to ask if it is posible to make (PbCO3)2·Pb(OH)2 from Pb(NO3)2. I made Lead iodide and if there is any more lead pigment I can make from same chemical that would be blessing.

Yes you can add sodium carbonate and sodium hydroxide
Re: Lead (II) nitrate to lead white pigment
thank you so much. And if I would want to make lead2oxide what should be added?

You add hydroxide, Filtration the precipitate and then bake it.

should I be concerned about lead fumes while heating it up? And thank you so much you saved me at least half of a day of research

You bake lead oxide not lead metal, fumes are less, but a good hood with ventilation would be solve that Problem.

Yes, it is possible to make lead carbonate hydroxide [(PbCO3)2·Pb(OH)2] from lead nitrate (Pb(NO3)2) by following a precipitation reaction.
