Coal Gasification

Post by Kevin990! »

Hi, I have tried to get the balanced equation for the below multiple reaction, however not allowing me to:

C + O2 + H2O --> CO + H2 (1)

However I am using the below equation for my mass balances

C + H20 --> CO + H2 (2)

Is equation (2) an adequate reaction for a high level coal gasification process for mass balances?

Pleased to hear your thoughts
