The coking process is used in teh industrial purification of iron metal from iron ore. In this process carbon or coke is added to the ore and heated to around 1200 degrees Celcius produning carbon monoxide gas as a byproduct.

Chemical equation: Fe2O3 + 3C = 2Fe + 3 CO

1. which one is the reactant that is being oxidized in this equation

2. If 300 g of iron (lll) oxided are reacted with 500 g of coke, what is the limiting reactant?
