The neutralization of hydrochloric acid with Tums

Post by phelpaul151 »

Can someone please help me find chemical formula the neutralization of hydrochloric acid with Tums (calcium carbonate)?

Is it hydrochloric acid + calcium carbonate → calcium chloride + water + carbon dioxide

HCl + Ca(CO3)2 → CaCl + H2O + CO2?

Thanks in advance!! :)
