stoichiometry help

Post by siggy »

H2SO4 + 2 NaOH >> Na2 SO4 + 2 H2O

b. what mass of H2SO4 would be required to react with .75 mole of NaOH?
c. what mass of each product is formed by this reaction?

Copper reacts with silver nitrate through single replacement.

a. if 2.25g of silver are produced from teh reaction, how many moles of copper (II) nitrate are produced?
b. How many moles of each reactant are required in this reaction?
c. what is this equation.

PLEASE HELP!! THANK YOU! :D

b.
m(H2SO4) = M(H2SO4) * n(NaOH) / 2 = 98.0791 * 0.75 /2

c.
m(Na2SO4) = M(Na2SO4) * n(NaOH) / 2 = ...
m(Na2SO4) = M(H2O) * n(NaOH)* (2 / 2) = ...
M is molar mass, you can calculate it here: http://www.webqc.org/mmcalc.php

c.
Cu + 2AgNO3 = Cu(NO3)2 + 2Ag
a.
n(Ag) = m(Ag)/M(Ag) = ...
n(Cu(NO3)2) = n(Ag) / 2 = ...
b.
n(Cu) = n(Ag) / 2 = ...
n(AgNO3) = n(Ag) = ...
