Structural Formula

Post by inurkfan »

The question is:

Write the structural formula for 3-bromo-2,4 methylhexane

I haven't been able to get the hang of this, if anyone could help me out I would very much appreciate it.

i guess it shud be 3-bromo-2,4 dimethylhexane so you just have 6 carbon chain where you have methyl (CH3) on carbon number 2 and 4 and a bromo group on 3 carbon and thats it i guess..
That wud be a simple structural formula if you represnt the Carbon atoms in chain but if you want skeltal formula thats like not including C in the chain just drawin let me noe if this is wut u want or not
