Precipitation of NiS using H2S

Post by rameshakon »

NiSO4+H2S= NiS+H2SO4 Is it a reversible reaction? If it is not a reversible reaction, Till what level of free H2SO4, and NiSO4 in the solution the reaction is good.

It is not reversible, however concentrated H2SO4 will oxidize H2S (or NiS).
