here is the question:
Compound B [structure shown below] was reduced with sodium
borohydride. The student used 1.1015g of Compound B. She prepared the
sodium borohydride solution by dissolving 1.0085g of sodium borohydride in
sufficient solvent to prepare 17.00mL of solution. Calculate the volume of the
sodium borohydride solution required to reduce Compound B. Show all
calculations.
compund B is a 7 carbon member ring with ketone bonds at the 1,3,6 positions. i get that the NaBH4 will add a hydrogen to each oxygen but i dont understand what the overall reaction will be. also i cant quite remember hwo the whole stoichiometry thing works. thanks for your help!
please help me as much and as quick u can. thanks in advance
