question
If 2 protons and 2 neutrons are added to an atom 234X90 another atom Y is formed. Write down the resultant atom Y indicating its atomic number. How many neutrons does it possess?

The atomic number may be found at the upper left corner, while the atomic weight can be found at the bottom.
Atomic number = number of protons.
Atoms have no overall electrical charge by definition. This means that the positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons must be in equilibrium.
