Impossible Reaction

Why is BrCl2 + Al(OH3) = H2O + AlBr3 + Cl2 an impossible reaction. I am in 10th grade AP chemistry and we have to know why its an impossible reaction! Please help as soon as possible.

This is an impossible reaction because BrCl2 is an impossible compound. Please check the writing (maybe BaCl2?) and post your question in a Chemistry Discussion and Help forum http://www.webqc.org/chemicalforum/viewforum.php?f=10

Not BrCl but BaCl2
BrCl (bromine monochloride) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bromine_monochloride is a known compound too while BrCl2 is unknown
