I can't find the MO diagram for Br2 ...
Do you have a web link, a reference?

Thank you very much for your quick and efficient reply!
As the energy difference between the 4s and 4p orbitals is less than 15 eV, the diagram must be correlated to take account of sp interactions...
I'll try to correct it ...
